Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this developing not-for-profit organisation as they go to market for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will give you the opportunity to hold oversight of a large and busy transactional finance function and develop a small, dedicated and stable team?
The main responsibilities of this Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager role include:
- Management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable function for the organisation, including ensuring that all payments are recorded in an accurate and timely manner and that they adhere to all contractual payment and compliance terms.
- Full supervision of the transactional team, including workflow management and review, offering training and support, and giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential through regular 1:1’s and appraisals.
- Play a pivotal role in a new PO system integration by driving the implementation forwards and provide training and supporting material to the wider organisation.
- Be a key point of escalation for all complex transactional queries and issues, and be the key point of contact for all transaction related audit queries.

The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in an Accounts Payable or receivable role of a similar capacity.
- Proven experience managing a team of at least two direct reports.
- Existing experience of implementing systems and process improvements, ideally an automated PO system.
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in Excel and accounting systems.
- A successful track record of delivering results and embracing change within a small and driven team.
- Ideally, come from the not-for-profit of public sectors, however, candidates looking to move into the sector are strong encouraged to apply.
