Manufacturing Futures are seeking to appoint a Junior Electronics Production Engineer with excellent knowledge of electronics design and manufacturing techniques to act as the buffer between a large in-house research department and the shop floor of electronics manufacturing. As Junior Electronics Production Engineer you will be working for an R&D business and be comfortable with complex, high level design work and have had previous experience working for an electronics manufacturing business. You will be able to liaise between the design department and the electronics manufacturing teams to provide accurate BOMs and pre-manufacturing instructions and solve any queries that may crop up. it is important that you have good lean knowledge.
Junior Electronics Production Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Graduate Electronic Design Engineer
* Liaise with the R&D teams to produce accurate BOMs for subcontract electronics manufacturers
* Produce build instructions / work instructions for final assembly
* Investigate production faults reported by subcontract electronics manufacturers
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of electronic components and source alternative suppliers as required
* Answer any technical queries received from customers or suppliers after the completion of initial stage design when a product has been signed off into manufacturing
Junior Electronics Production Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Graduate Electronic Design Engineer
* A recognised qualification (degree preferred) in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent
* Good working knowledge of electronics design techniques (previous experience as an electronic design engineer of benefit but not essential)
* Previous work experience for a subcontract electronics manufacturing (in a Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role preferred)
* In-depth knowledge of PCB manufacture and assembly and PLC systems
