We're on the lookout for a dedicated Technical Support Engineer to become an integral part of our bustling team in Northern England. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will find yourself in a challenging role supporting our Northern Region, but with a customer-facing field bias. The design of this role is meant to help us increase market share, and indeed, the company relies on you to seek out, support, and develop customers in conjunction with our field sales team. Your responsibilities extend to providing application and product knowledge during joint visits and project meetings. The key product areas you will focus on are electric actuators with both AC servo drives and DC stepper motors drives, encompassing a variety of serial interface capable products linking onto the latest industrial networks. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying new opportunities for pneumatic products. Hours of Work: Full Time, Permanent Technical Support Engineer Requirements: Be qualified with a HNC or degree. Have experience of selling and specifying pneumatics, AC/DC drives and/or integrating them into a system. A good to high level of understanding of serial/bus systems (EtherNET/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET/Bus, Devicenet, CClink/SSCNET etc.) and/or experience of integrating them. How to sell them and where to implement them would be an advantage. Having a technical knowledge paired with a degree of sales understanding would be beneficial Be able to develop relationships with the existing regional sales teams to encourage joint enquiries Be comfortable presenting to customers and colleagues as you are liaising with them to solve problems from a technical perspective, a flexible approach and ability to manage a busy workload, including planning and managing your own projects, is important too.
