Junior Management Accountant

City & Capital are currently representing an extremely successful & highly respected investment house and commercial property finance lender who have retained our services to appoint a talented, ambitious and knowledgeable Junior Management Accountant at an exciting time.

Due to increased investment and big plans for the future, our client has doubled in size over the last two years. Further investment means they are set to achieve the same feat again in the coming period, with the ultimate goal of becoming the leading player in their space by 2025.

The finance team is at the heart of the business and thus this increased activity is driving the appointment of a Junior Management Accountant who will take on key responsibility for assisting the senior Management Accountant with all aspects of strong financial management, accountancy and control.

Duties will include (though may not be limited to):

• Reconciling Statements with Purchase Ledgers
• Updating key spreadsheets used by stakeholders across the business
• Raising Invoices
• Ownership of accruals
• Profit and loss analysis
• VAT returns
• Assist senior members of the team with balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and provide documentation for audit requirements
• Review insurance renewals
• Assist senior members of the team with opening new bank accounts
• Reconciling Month End Statements with Sage

The ideal individual for this role will have some experience working in management accounts, but is keen to expedite their learning and growth with a growing business that offer strong career development and support. You do not require any qualifications at this stage, but individuals who are ambitious to complete their accountancy exams to complement their practical experience will be highly sought after. Individuals may also be qualified by experience.

Due to the nature of our clients growth this role would also suit an individual who thrives in a fast paced and changing environment. You will be proactive in your approach and quick to address opportunities or financial risks as they arise.

You will be highly numerical, organised and a strong time manager. Attention to detail is key.

Our client is ideally looking to pay between £35k and £45k for the ideal individual, based on experience and qualification levels. Higher offers may also be considered for exceptional talent. Salary will be complemented by immediate access to our clients favourable bonus scheme too, which will assist with increasing earnings substantially year on year.
