nWe are currently seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Junior Trainee Accountant to join our clients finance team based in Leeds.

nThe Junior Trainee Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining robust financial control within the business, supporting both operational and central functions.
nKey responsibilities of a Junior Trainee Accountant will include;

- Maintains and develops departmental financial control. n
- Production of weekly reports to a high standard and within agreed timeframes n
- Accurately costed labour elements of products n
- Responsible for working closely with cost centre owners and members of the executive team to undertake budget preparation and reporting including P balance sheet / cash flow. n
- Month end preparation including journal processing, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L Analysis, balance sheet analysis. n
- Participation in the budgeting and forecast process, Provides appropriate questioning and challenges within the budget process, flags anomalies and concerns for further investigation. n
- Responsible for capital spend control, flagging anomalies and concerns to the Financial Controller n
- Prepares the financial information for the board pack and collates the reports and presentations from other members of the management team n
- Manages, leads, and participates in ad hoc project work as required n
- Contributes to a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques n
- Assists in quarterly & half year stock counts with view to manage and lead process n
Skills required to be a successful Junior Trainee Accountant ;

- Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of Excel n
- Demonstrate an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment n
- Ability to analyse and evaluate data and information and use this to take appropriate action. n
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines n
- Assertive and confident and able to quickly build a high level of personal and professional credibility within the business, demonstrating strong commercial and financial acumen n
- Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, influencing and negotiating at all levels n
- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives n
- A flexible outlook with the ability to use problem solving skills and 'outside the box' thinking n
- Introduces creative business solutions and innovative ideas to take the business forward n
- Ability to explain and present complex and / or technical issues clearly, accurately and simply n
- Intermediate I.T. skills n
