Key Account Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager to work Days Monday-Friday working for a leading distributor of surfaces including worktops, wall panelling and flooring, covering Leeds and the surrounding areas. Benefits to include a generous bonus scheme and car allowance.  
This is a permanent position working Monday - Friday (37.5 hrs per week) 9am-5.30pm offering a salary of up to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + generous bonus scheme! 
As Key Account Manager, you will report into the Sales Director and will be the main point of contact for customers and branches in your territory. You will be managing and supporting the pricing and product strategy as well as providing reporting and customer analysis. Your key duties will include: 

• To be the main contact for Key Accounts in your region
• Responsible for maintaining key relationships to increase retention and buy-in
• Maintain strong working relationships with national retailers, buying groups and merchants
• Improve internal systems and communications
• Identify key clients to develop different approaches accordingly
• Reduce client/ customer complaints and increase overall customer satisfaction
• Conduct analysis of Key Accounts to make improvements

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• 2 years’ minimum Key Account Management experience
• Experience within the trade industry (building merchants, hardware stores)
• Proven track record in building strong customer relationships
• Ability to create PowerPoint and presentations to a good standard
• Ability to work with Excel effectively and maintain the ability to manipulate data and produce tidy reports, analyse range performance and margin etc.
• Attention to detail and work quickly and effectively to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate your flexibility and ability to adapt to change
• Aspire to become National Account Manager
• Highly goal orientated, assertive and a hands-on problem solver
• Articulate and analytical
• Excellent organisation, highly driven, focused and assertive
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with senior colleagues
• Full UK driving license
