Summary of Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects of software design, development and implementation for PLC based Control Systems. The role will require the successful candidate to lead projects in the delivery of PLC and SCADA/DCS systems primarily in the Thermal, Hydro and Wind power generation systems. Projects included upgrades to latest versions and virtualisation applications, process improvements and modifications as well as ‘greenfield ' projects requiring the complete software development lifecycle; design, coding, testing, install and commissioning. The candidate should have proven main-stream control automation experience across several previous projects utilizing the technology platforms listed below and developing Structured code to IEC 61131 pt3.
Essentials Requirements:

Minimum 5 years experience using at least one of the following technologies:-

Siemens PCS7 v8.0 or greater within medium / large DCS
*
Siemens TIA Portal (S7400/300)
*
Rockwell Control logix
*
Schneider M580/M340 & Unity Pro
*
Minimum 5 years experience /Advanced SCADA Configuration skills using at least one of the following
*
applications:-
*
Siemens WinCC
*
Rockwell FactoryTalk
*
Panorama
*
Citect
*
Experience of Comms protocols including:-
*
Profibus/Profinet, Ethernet etc
*
Experience of producing FDS, DDS and Test Specifications
*
Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures
*
Willingness to travel and work away when required
*
Full UK Driving license
Desirable Requirements:

Experience of PCS7 SCL, PH, OPENPCS, WebServer
*
Experience of PCS7 within a virtualized / domain configuration
*
Experience of SIMIT/ PICS/WinMOD
*
Experience of Power Station Control Systems
