Job Description: Learning and Development Manager
Location: Must live Centrally
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance.
Requirements: Full UK Driver’s license due and willing to frequently travel across England.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Learning and Development programs tailored to the specific needs of staff working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Learning and Development team, ensuring effective delivery of training programs.
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop strategies to address identified gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Deliver training sessions on topics such as Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Administration of Medication, and Company Induction.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of training programs with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on best practices, research, and Developments in the field of learning disabilities and autism to inform training content and delivery.
- Monitor and maintain training records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge and experience in delivering training on topics such as Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Administration of Medication, and Company Induction.
- Willingness to travel across England as required for training delivery and support.
- Certification or training in Autism Awareness, PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), Dysphagia, Epilepsy and Ligature, PROACT SCIP (Prevention and Management of Crisis Situations).
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Learning and Development, education, social care, or a related field.
- Additional certifications or training related to learning disabilities, autism, and management are desirable.
