North Waltham Primary school is a happy, friendly and welcoming village school close to Basingstoke, just off Junction 7 of the M3. We provide an inclusive learning environment; we do this by offering a curriculum that is interesting and motivating and by ensuring that children feel happy, safe and valued in school. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team of hard working and dedicated staff. We would like someone who has experience of working with a variety of different groups of children. An understanding about how to help children to cope emotionally would be an advantage. You will be well supported with training and supervision in your role and you will be part of an incredible team. Our Learning Support Assistants work in close partnership with class teachers to provide 1 to 1 support and group work for children in our classes.

Is able to work with children individually to enable them to achieve their best
Can communicate clearly at all levels
Is able to provide written and verbal feedback to the class teacher as required
Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills
Demonstrates good English and mathematical skills
Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
