Wherwell Primary School would like to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team. We are a thriving, happy village school with a strong family feel. Our staff team is forward-thinking, reflective and supportive and we know our children exceptionally well. The position would be ideal for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate. We are looking for someone who has a love of learning and helping children to be happy in school.
The successful candidate will:
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ideally, have some experience of working in KS1 and/or KS2 setting
- Understand how to motivate, engage and inspire learning
- Be able to support pupils to understand key concepts and scaffold their learning
- Be relationship driven, and understand that behaviour communicates a meaning
- Have high ambitions for themselves and the school with an ability to work independently and use their initiative
