Academic Appointments are recruiting for Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Staff to start ASAP. The role would be to work in a Primary school which provides specialist education for children 4-11 years old who have Autism and associated communication, learning and behavioural needs.
The linear curriculum this school follows is based on the EYFS framework and the National Curriculum, the structure is devised around three pathways. Pupils may require elements of two pathways or progress between pathways during their journey at the school. In this school pupils are not grouped according to their age but according to their ability and preferred learning styles.
A successful candidate would have:
experience supporting students with SEMH and SEND needs
experience in an educational setting within the last 2 years
experience working within education or care in the UK in the last 12 months
experience working with KS1 and KS2 pupils
a passion for making a difference
a confident, caring, and assertive personality
What to expect:
You will be supporting pupils with reading, writing, creativity and mathematics as well as supporting them to engage in play and physical development.
Requirements:
Team Teach qualification (desirable)
Moving & handling training (desirable)
Available for between 3-5 days work

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
