Are you a highly capable and experienced Legal Cashier looking for your next role ?
Would you like to join a leading Law Firm at their offices in Winchester ?
If so this is the role for you
Working as part of a busy and successful team you will be responsible for a variety of duties including :-
- Dealing with queries from fee earners and external supplies
- Working closely with the Finance Manager and Practice Manager to ensure all accounts processes are compliant
- Identification and allocation of all office and client receipts *
- Processing payments and receipts using online banking, cheques and debit cards
- Posting payments onto the practice management system for Client and Office Accounts
- Processing invoices to our clients, assisting fee earners & their secretaries *
- Nominal and matter-related purchase ledger and expenses *
- Taking card payments from clients both via telephone and in person
- Processing Purchase Ledger invoices on the accounts system
- Posting of Office Disbursements including Land Registry, court fees, and other search fees
- Banking client and office cheques/cash as and when required
- Dealing with completions - CHAPS payments in and out and checking completion statements
- Maintenance of an effective Credit Control system
- Daily banking and assisting with accounts related queries
- Attend weekly financial management meetings
- Reconciling on a daily basis the firm's client & office accounts
- Providing full support to the Practice Manager, Finance Team and Partners
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Legal Cashier preferably within a Law Firm.
In addition excellent communication and IT skills are essential along with a working knowledge of SRA Accounts rules.
