Salaryob Title: Litigation Legal Counsel (FTC)
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, plus benefits
Our client is seeking a Litigation Legal Counsel on an FTC to join their legal team based in Milton Keynes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within the financial litigation sector, playing a pivotal role in addressing complaints and litigious consumer cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve financial ombudsman complaints promptly.
- Manage end-to-end company litigation, ensuring an organised case system.
- Communicate effectively with the business and senior stakeholders for resolution updates.
- Conduct precise redress calculations aligned with FCA DISP rules.
- Manage the relationship with the Financial Ombudsman and handle communications.
- Assist in data collection and reporting to FCA and Financial Ombudsman.
- Collaborate with customer resolutions team, analysing root causes and proposing solutions.
- Assist with various litigation matters, including paperwork preparation and Court attendance.
- Write legal reports and provide ad hoc advice on a variety of subjects.
About You:
- A UK qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with a litigation/disputes background (2 years plus PQE) preferably with financial services sector experience.
- In-House or Private Practice background.
- Strong understanding of DISP requirements, as regulated by the FCA.
- Skilful in investigating complaints, composing acknowledgements, & delivering conclusive responses within regulatory time frames.
- Excellent people and presentation skills.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary up to £65,000.00 per annum.
