Legal Counsel (Proposition)
Permanent
Location: Edinburgh (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)
Salary: A competitive salary from £54,800.00 - £82,200.00

As the Legal Specialist supporting Senior Legal Counsel (Propositions), your primary role is to offer proactive legal and technical support to various UK business units. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert legal advice, guidance, and recommendations.
- Drafting and interpreting intricate legal documents accurately.
- Ensuring contractual documentation meets commercial objectives.
- Maintaining the accuracy and quality of pension scheme rules and related documentation.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Expert technical knowledge of pensions legal and regulatory regime with reference to HMRC, DWP and TPR guidelines and practice and to the different types of pension product that are generally available in the market.
- Expert knowledge of Investments, as they pertain to Platforms and Workplace Pension products together with the regulation of Investments.
It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:
- Knowledge of other areas of law that impact on the administration of the products that Aegon sells, in particular, ISAs and a knowledge of trust law
