My client, a West End fund focussed on Real Estate, are looking to hire their first lawyer in London.
The successful candidate will be managing a range of work, including:
- Real Estate Finance matters on debt transactions, including running, negotiating and closing transactions once HoTs have been agreed
- Dealing with CPs & CSs to transactions, ensuring best practice is and company policies are adhered too
- Overseeing Due Diligence reports and addressing issues as required
- Inputting into the credit and closing process, to ensure compliance with company policies
- Dealing with amendments, extensions and issues as they arise across the existing portfolio (including potential enforcement / contentious matters)
- Assisting in the set-up of new fund structures and joint ventures (as appropriate)
- Liaising with 3rd parties in connection with regulatory and compliance matters (with support from the finance team and compliance services firms)
- Assisting with capital providers (such as securitisations, syndication, loan-on-Ian leverage etc) as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years PQE
- Trained or currently working at internationally recognised ‘top-tier’ law firm
- Strong critical thinking and commercial mindset
- Desire to drive transactions and motivate others to achieve team / transactional goals
- Methodical in nature, highly organised and high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team (ability to be able to ‘challenge’ team members on transactional matters is critical)
- A desire to contribute to a positive, engaging and collaborative team culture
