Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Library Assistant within Learning and Information based in Islington. This is a contract role working full time hours
The job:

• Carry out day to day duties connected with customer care and/or the maintenance and supply of stock as directed
• Shelving, shelf tidying, using ICT to issue and discharge borrowed items, register new users, telephone answering, and using a till for calculating charges and giving change.
• Assist in reader development and promotional activities including story reading and rhyme time activities with children of all ages
• Assist with events and promotional aspects of the library for a range and variety of customers

The candidate

• Substantial experience working in a public library required
• Excellent customer service experience and have experience of delivering library activities to children.
• Experience of using a Library Management System and good IT skills
