As a Life OpportunitiesSupport Worker, the rewards of connecting people together and engaging meaningful activities is exhilarating. About the Life OpportunitiesSupport Worker.
Working from a hub model we operate as a priority in making sure that we are connecting people with others, meeting new people, targeting isolation and accessing a range of social activities and achieving outcomes. This particular role would suit a person who enjoys celebrating and engaging the skills of older adults.
A flexible approach in your pattern of supporting people will ensure we meet the needs of the people we support.
Responsibilities:
·Supporting people to engage in a range of activities
·Supporting the planning and delivery of activities
· Undertake some personal care tasks, while maintaining people’s privacy and dignity.
· Supporting people with their medication where required
· Helping people live more independently and undertake life enhancing activities.
· Ensure people’s needs are at the heart of everything we do.
· Work with care managers and health colleagues to implement and support therapy plans.
Experience and skills required:
· A strong team player.
· Understand that communication is varied and comes in many forms.
· Have a positive outlook and a flexible approach.
· Have a passion for supporting people.
· Demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional behaviour.
· Are able to communicate confidently with others.
· Be able to develop supportive relationships, promoting choice and independence.
· You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
· Are able to use or, learn to use relevant IT systems.
