We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Line Leader on a fixed term (Maternity cover) contract based at our Deeside site.
Shifts: 4 On 4 Off Days
Salary: £10.42p/h basic plus an additional £1.00p/h
Job Description
- Train all new packers and sortation operatives – including the correct process, box choices, problems, andons, scan sequence, etc. – materials and standards of practice provided by the CI team
- Ensure operatives have everything they need to fulfil their roles
- Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and tidy
- Ensure all packers are using their own logins
- Supporting the line to keep it packing – respond to andons, ensure runner is providing boxes, etc.
- Ensure enough full pick trollies are available – if not communicate with team lead
- Support team leads in ensuring pick trollies are packed in CPT order
- Communicating issues with pack stations to team leads
- Monitor the pack line breaks
- Audit the quality of the packed parcels
Qualifications
- Flexibility within the role to be able to cover a variety of areas within the warehouse.
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
- Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.
- Should have good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of WMS systems would be useful but not essential.
- Experience in a packing, or e-commerce operation would be advantageous.
