Live in Support Worker NG24 2QR
About me I am a 47-year-old gentleman. I am a tetraplegic, which basically means that I’m a full-time wheelchair user and I have total paralysis below my chest. I have limited hand function and require help with eating and drinking, preparing meals and all day-to-day activities. I’m also a Type 2 Diabetic and this is controlled with insulin injections plus prescribed tablets.
I have a workshop/shed where I like to do woodwork projects and I like to go out in my garden whenever I’m able to and would require help carrying out weeding plus general garden maintenance. I like to use my hand-cycle that attaches to the front of my manual wheelchair. I enjoy the freedom and independence this gives me. I like to meet up with friends at the pub or go out for meals with them. It is important for me to remain as independent as possible and to have the continuity of regular, reliable Live in Support Workers.
