Job description
We are looking for a Logistics Administratorto support our busy client to ensure parts gets to different parts of the world. This is a temporary contract for 12 months +, based in Yeovil.
As a Logistics Administrator you will be responsible for checking each shipments documentation, organising the relevant paperwork, liaising with the carriers (transport) and making sure everything is updated on the two internal systems. This is a very detailed role and although training will be carried out, you will need to be someone who takes pride in the small details as some items may be hazardous or high profile.
We are looking for someone who won't be phased by taking on a role with 6 months training as a minimum, who has high attention to detail, is used to completing accurate paperwork, has the ability to work on databases and is used to working under pressure at times. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working on Outlook, Word and Excel. If you have experience in Exports or Imports this would also be advantageous but not essential.
This is a full time role working from either 8.30am until 5pm or 9am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Once trained there may be some call outs, out of hours, approximately one in five weeks.
