Job Title: Logistics Driver

The Role
We are looking for a Logistics Driver to help us get this show on the road! As well as working within our friendly logistics team, you’ll be responsible for assisting the team in the preparation and delivery of equipment to a wide array of events in any one of our incredible venues across Scotland. We’re fortunate to work in some of the most spectacular settings in Scotland, and you get to be a part of it all.
Key Deliverables No two days are the same. If you like to be behind the wheel, have excellent organisational skills and love a bit of last-minute problem solving, you’ll thrive in this role. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for ensuring that the required equipment for every job is packed and delivered on time as per the event schedule.
· Responsible for the delivery of equipment and food to outside events on time and to the highest standard.
· Ensure the very highest standard of food hygiene and health and safety during transportation and storage.
· Sound management and communication with the Event Manager and supervisors during events. Assisting with the back of house team during an event, to ensure the event runs smoothly.
· Responsible for the loading/unloading of vans during an event.
· Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Hickory operational quality and service standard policies and procedures.
The Person
· Hold a current UK driving licence and enjoy being behind the wheel.
· Well organised and unflappable – there’s always a problem to be solved at the last hour!
· Be able to demonstrate clear and logical management experience under pressure
· Ability to multi-task (not whilst driving, of course).
· Must have extensive experience within the catering and events industry- we need you to hit the ground running.
· Be physically strong to meet the requirements of the logistics department workload – we’ll make sure you’re well fed and watered.
· Be always mindful of the company’s brand and reputation, whether working with internal teams, professional advisors, suppliers or clients – you’ll often be the first person on site, showcasing what Hickory are all about.
· Be positive, polite and persuasive with effective communication skills.
· Time keeping is essential. You’ll need to be always punctual and drive teams to meet deadlines with accuracy.
· Commitment to quality and ensuring health and safety standards are complied with
· Ability to motivate and provide guidance.
· We’re one big team, so we’ll need you to take direction and offer directions to new team members.
Work Pattern
· Up to 5 days out of 7 to suit the needs of the business, to include evenings and weekends
· Willingness and flexibility to work outside these hours when necessary to meet the requirements of the job.

Job Type: Zero hours contract
