This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to lead, inspire and develop our site logistics team. You will be responsible for Despatch, Transport and VMU ensuring the customer is delivered a quality product on time and in full and legal compliance and budgets are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive a safety culture by improving and maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring the management team are aware and complying with health and safety standards, legal compliance, and company requirements.
- Effective leadership, development, and motivation of the logistics team to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and achieve KPI’s for the logistics team.
- Work with the wider logistics team/AMB group to implement and support national projects and initiatives.
- Effectively manage the logistics budget on site, constantly reviewing costs and identify opportunities for savings, including PDP’s.
- Build and develop effective relationships with the management team on site to ensure cross functional working and the wider AMB logistics team to ensure best practice is shared and the optimal performance of the team is achieved.
The Right Person
- Holder of CPC qualification National level
- Experience in a logistics role in a commercially challenging and unionised environment.
- Highly numerate with the ability to analyse and communicate clear, concise information.
- Proven track record of delivering change projects.
