Job responsibilities:
Loading and unloading of parts, tools, coolant, fixtures, etc. associated with the tasks assigned to you
Basic machining operations and tool inspection, including manual machining operations where applicable and available
Use of metrology equipment for pre and post measurements, including CMM operation
Taking corrective actions in regard to tool offsets /wear
The ability to read and interpret drawings
Identifying & reporting problems, working with maintenance, ME and quality to resolve expediently
Machine setting for R&O repair tasks – inputting pre-determined variables to existing programmes. (We recognize that we are not at this point yet for all repairs so in the interim, ME support will be required on certain repair programmes. ME support and validation is required for any programme changes beyond inputting offsets and other predetermined variables)
Collaborating with ME for improvements in working practices, such as fixture design and machine programming
Identifying and implementing Lean improvements in collaboration with other teams
Undertaking 5S and machine TPM tasks for assigned area and being responsible for good general tidiness and housekeeping.
