Our client is recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join the business as a Maintenance and Reliability Manager. The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment and machinery. They will lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and that downtime is minimised. You will be directly responsible for leading a 5-year production and cylinder testing site plant upgrade investment strategy including site infrastructure, supporting business case development and submissions to approval.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance and Reliability Manager:
" Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance and reliability program for all plant equipment.
" Lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
" Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
" Develop and implement a predictive maintenance program to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
" Develop and implement a spare parts management program to ensure that critical spares are always available.
" Develop and implement a training program for maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure that they have the necessary skills to carry out their duties.
" Develop and implement a continuous improvement program to identify and eliminate equipment reliability issues.
" Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
" You will be tasked with driving improvements in the reliability of all production and cylinder testing site assets in order to ensure they meet legislative and customer requirements whilst positively impacting profitability.
" You will be directly responsible for leading a 5-year production and cylinder testing site plant upgrade investment strategy including site infrastructure, supporting business case development and submissions to approval.
" Able to both understand and implement global best practices, covering reliability improvement and maintenance optimisation strategies.
" Provide functional leadership to a national team of multidisciplinary maintenance technicians across multiple cylinder filling and testing sites aligning their individual and team performance with the strategic goals of the business.
" You will provide operational guidance and support to operations field plant maintenance resources to enable the timely resolution of day-to-day issues and allow production and cylinder testing sires to operate at maximum reliability, efficiency, and plant range with minimised loss.
" Lead the overall annual plant maintenance budgeting process for sites in consultation with the Area Managers.
" Responsible for the development and sustainment of a culture of continuous improvement, seeking to deliver year on year efficiencies and delivering productivity and continuous improvement opportunities through (but not limited to) plant operations, maintenance effectiveness, equipment supplier performance and energy efficiency, reporting regularly to ensure other sites benefit from improved efficiencies that can be implemented across other locations and environments.
Key Requirements for the Maintenance and Reliability Manager:
" Previous experience in a maintenance and reliability role.
" Degree qualified or above in a relevant engineering discipline (such as mechanical, chemical, electrical or instrumentation).
" Able to demonstrate exhaustive knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance processes.
" Proven success and experience in plant performance analysis with the ability to use this experience to drive effective decision making focused on continuous improvements.
" You will possess excellent financial acumen skills to allow budget setting and investment case creation and commercialisation.
" Effective communication and influencing skills at all levels, as the role will require regular contact with internal and external customers, contractors, suppliers, and statutory inspection bodies.
" Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
