The role
As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll play an instrumental part within our team here at HMNB Clyde.
Day to day, your role will include planning, coordinating and controlling planned maintenance activity, reactive tasks and work packages on nuclear and non-nuclear safety implicated equipment across HMNB Clyde and associated outstations:
Assist the Planning Specialist in maximising the utilisation of all the section's resource.
Create and maintain maintenance tasks, adding new nuclear and non-nuclear planned maintenance tasks to the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Plan maintenance project packages and ongoing maintenance tasks balancing resources for each maintenance team to match available resources.
Liaise with relevant maintenance sections on maintenance progress through to completion, rescheduling, raising concession requests where necessary and ensuring prompt return and processing of all completed documentation.
Attend weekly planning meetings to review/reschedule nuclear and non-nuclear maintenance activity to maximise berth availability.
This role is full time, 37 hours based on site across our HMNB Clyde sites with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Planning Engineer:
Planning procedures and processes
Facilities management
MS Office.
Planning and project management.
Enterprise resource planning systems. Industrial financial systems/SAP.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Planning Engineer:
Recognised mechanical or electrical engineering apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or NVQ and C&G equivalent) or HNC and above in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline with industry experience.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
