Management Accountant

This role requires a Management Accountant skilled in financial reporting and process improvement within the industrial/manufacturing industry. Based in Essex, the successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency and profitability.

Description

• Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Review and improve financial processes and systems within the company.
• Work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or QBE - Qualified by experience).
• Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience managing a team of 2+.
• Proficiency in financial software packages and advanced Excel skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
