Management Accountant

Company Details and Job Overview:
A fast-growth business with a current turnover in the region of £60m are looking to appoint a new Management Accountant. This position has been newly created, due to growth, seeing their turnover doubling year on year.
This is a progressive role and one which offers the potential to develop into a Finance Manager post. A business who keep up to date with legislation and changes to the sector, they operate at pace and also offer working arrangements to secure a half day finish on a Friday.

Your role as Management Accountant:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will oversee a variety of tasks in the finance department. Producing accounts to ensure the timely close of month-end duties, you will also be responsible for budget management and forecasting to monitor performance in a commercially focused role. Working closely with internal stakeholders you will operate in a team of 9.
Main role duties:
• Line management of 1 member of staff within finance
• Preparing full management accounts pack including commentary and analysis
• Preparing cash flow statements and cash flow forecasts
• Production of budgets and forecasts to monitor and control departmental costs
• Reviewing VAT information for external accountants to submit
• Reviewing fixed assets and provide monthly depreciation
• Assisting with the audit process, handling any queries as required
• Ongoing involvement in enhancing existing processes, systems and controls
• Regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders including non-finance staff within the business
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered for this role you will have experience in a fast paced environment, and in a similar role which crosses the requirements above. Whilst fully qualified (ACA CIMA ACCA) is preferred, the business are also considering applications from experienced candidates who are studying or QBE. With a rounded skillset, and hands on approach, you will have a proven track record of adding value, and be prepared to work at pace, in a commercially focused finance function.
