Key responsibilities
Management Reporting, Analysis & Communication
- Produce all regular monthly management accounts
- Benchmarking analyses of supplier base, cost base, store performance
- Ad hoc & Value Added analyses to identify profit improvement & cost saving
- Reactivate 6-monthly & annual analyses
- Preparation of draft Budgets for all entities within the Group, working with the Budget holders to agree planned spend.
- Review and control of spend against budgets.
- Support, maintenance & development of key excel files:
- Weekly Sales report.
- Reporting files
- Quarterly turnover rent calculations
- Fixed Asset Register files
- Quarterly Accruals & Prepayments schedules (working with Bookkeepers)
- Budget model maintenance and roll forward
- Maintain appropriate back up documentation
- Incorporation Audit Journals into Sage package,
- Technical accounting : first contact to resolve technical issues and advise bookkeepers
- Intercompany matrix review
- Formal record maintenance: Company secretarial, Equity accounts, Transfer pricing
- Maintain Company secretarial & Profit Share records
Ideally Part-Qualified Accountant
Advanced skills in Excel
Knowledge of Sage 200 (desirable)
Knowledge of EPOS (desirable)
