Management Accountant

The Job role: 

• Reporting into the Group Financial Controller this is a varied role, preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for 3 Group Companies.
• Key responsibilities and accountabilities to ensure and meet the demands of the role include:
•  Production of monthly management accounts for 3 Group Companies together with sound analysis and investigation of results and variances
• Regular interaction with operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Raise commercial awareness across the Group, working closely with operations teams
• Preparing forecasts and providing support and advice for new projects/contracts when required.
• Managing 12 week rolling cashflow forecast and payment runs
• Interaction with key sales staff to analyse commercial tenders in terms of profitability.
• Provide support to annual audit processes.
• Carry out any ad hoc project work as is necessary to support the business objectives.
• Working with all operational teams identifying continuous business improvement and service optimisation

Qualifications required for the role 

• • Part/Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years experience (i.e. Full AAT + Part/Full CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Experience in commercial management accounts preparation and reporting.
• Logistics/Warehousing industry knowledge would also be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Excel and relevant formulas.
