Management Accountant

Based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a 7-month interim contract. The role will be based in their offices 5 days per week.

This job would suit someone with previous experience within a similar role to be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting entries and monthly accounts.

The successful individual will have good communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise with people at all levels. They will be experienced in using an accounting software package for transactional entry. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is essential.

Job responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets in a manner presentable to different stakeholders.
• Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
• Supporting in the budgeting process
• Preparing control account reconciliations
• Posting journals
• Presenting reports to senior management to aid with decision making.
• Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in line with budgets.
• Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to non - finance members of staff.
