Management Accountant (Flexible Generation)

Energia Group have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant (Flexible Generation) based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Flexible Generation Finance team, part of the finance function for a large corporate organisation. The Flexible Generation Finance Team are responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate management reports analysing the performance of our generating units (including conventional power and battery storage). Reporting to the Flexible Generation Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will initially focus on the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting of results to management along with business planning and forecasting. This will involve the Management Accountant developing both business and accounting knowledge whilst engaging with various stakeholders across the Group. The role will suit a dedicated and highly motivated individual who is a self-starter with a forward-thinking and proactive approach. You will enjoy working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and be a key point of contact for other Finance teams and the power plant managers. Full Professional Accountancy Qualification.

Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholders and resources.

Experience of using MS Excel to interrogate large volumes of data and for mathematical / financial modelling.

A knowledge of the electricity supply market.

Experience working with SAP & Cognos.
