Management Accountant - Wellingborough

Leading Car Dealership experiencing growth are seeking a Management Accountant to work at their Head office in Wellingborough.

You will take charge of all aspects of management accounts with the support of an Accounts Assistant to ensure completion of month end in accordance with company deadlines whilst meeting internal and external demands. Partner site stakeholders to provide performance insights, improve processes and promote best practice.

• Salary £35,000 - £50,000
• Sensible office Hours - Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00 pm

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Pragmatic individual capable of influencing and relationship building at all levels, internally and externally;
• Use of Kerridge
• Ability to balance between accounting standards and business needs;
• Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word (intermediate/advance level);
• Understand the need to deep dive into details but see the bigger picture at the same time,
• Appetite to learn with a curious and "not afraid to ask" mindset.
• Team player with a hand's on approach.
• Motor trade experience advantageous but not essential;
• Good and effective communicator;
• Excellent organisation skills;

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full accountability of P&L and balance sheet
• Support Accounts Assistant to improve efficiency and accuracy of transactional processes
• Periodic ledger reviews with Accounts Assistant and with site.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Review and authorise bank payments.
• Detailed and thorough analysis of revenue and expense lines.
• Budgeting and forecasting;
• Vehicle bonus review, coding and processing;
• Manufacturer reporting and analysis;
• Payroll focal point.
• VAT.
• Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with site management team.
• Year end audit
• Adhoc duties/projects as per business demands
