Salary Impression Recruitment are currently working with an established, locally recognised business in Harrogate, who have built a reputation for supplying high end and high quality products into their market. Recognised as a fantastic brand to work for, they are now looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a maternity contract for 9 months. You will operate as an onsite lead for the business' finance process, regularly liaising with other senior stakeholders in relation to financial information, providing financial reports and managing financial processes. You will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, ensuring day to day procedures are maintained whilst also taking responsibility for strategic analysis and reporting duties as required. Qualifications are not essential for this vacancy; however you will need to possess a strong track record in financial leadership, and management accounting duties. If you are an experienced Assistant Management Accountant, you may also be considered by our client as well.
Management Accountant Duties:
* Manage internal purchase and sales ledger functions for the business.
* Handling monthly management accounting processes such as reporting, reconciling balance sheets, budget amendments, variance analysis etc.
* Responsibility for cashflow processes such as banking, payments, foreign currency and forecasting.
* Ensure that VAT is prepared and submitted in line with requirements.
* Posting of daily sales and comparison against forecasted figures.
* Prepare and process monthly payroll.
* Maintain stock costing accuracy by working with internal supply chain teams.
* Ensure that internal systems are maintained and updated with financial information.
* Provide assistance to various teams across the business on any financial queries they may have.
Skills required:
* Be able to demonstrate an excellent commercial accounting understanding.
* Able to work accurately with internal business systems.
* Quality communication and organisational skills.
* Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or qualified by experience.
* MS Office (strong Excel skills required)
As Management Accountant, you will receive a salary of between £35,000 - £42,000 per annum working Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm. Our client would also consider an applicant who is looking for 4 days per week.
