Management Accountant

Think Accountancy and Finance have been engaged with a new client based in Hemel Hempstead.

They are a super exciting brand who are growing steadily and have a great 5-year plan to expand the business.

The finance team are looking for a Management Accountant to join the small but diverse team. The position will report into a hands-on Financial Controller who wants to develop this person over the coming years.

The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and financial analysis. This exciting role will play a big part in the success of this forward-thinking company.

The company offer hybrid working and a competitive salary depending on experience. This role could be suitable for someone who has been assisting with monthly management accounts and is looking for a forward step in their career. Or it will suit someone with 2-3 years' experience as a Management Accountant who is looking to progress to a Finance Manager role in the coming years.

The financial controller is looking for the right characteristics in a person to fill this role. Attitude and drive will be very important in being successful in this position. He is happy to provide an opportunity for someone to progress in their career for someone who is hardworking and ambitious.

Key role duties include:

• Month end accounting, P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Treasury management
• Overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Payment runs.
• Stock postings
• Aged Debtor management
• VAT Returns
• Payroll
• Journals
• Assisting in the audit and year end accounts
• Analysis reporting

The ideal candidate would be part qualified or perhaps QBE with a strong understanding of debits and credits. Experience of month end management accounts is required even if you have assisted but not completed on your own.
