Key duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts. Comprising of sales and margin
  reconciliations, overhead control and review, accruals and prepayments and compiling different reports to all relevant stakeholders
• Assist with the preparation of the board pack report including commentary
• Variance analysis to support monthly management accounts
• Provide and further develop insightful reporting & analysis, provide challenge and general financial support to ensure robust cost control and alignment to strategic plans
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Periodic overhead reviews with budget holders
• Support the wider finance team covering accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll when required
• Assist with the annual budget process
• Assist with the implementation of digital solutions to increase efficiency and standardisation of internal processes, both financial and non-financial
• Ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Leadership team

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience preparing management accounts
• Achieved their AAT qualification and preferably be studying towards their CIMA or ACCA
• The ability to challenge and influence stakeholders, build credibility and rapport; able to demonstrate the ability to "take people with them".
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Strong communication skills: accurate, considered, persuasive and succinct
• A curious, collaborative, inquisitive, enthusiastic and proactive 'hands on' attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Highly analytical
• Advanced excel skills
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing business would be desirable but is not essential
