Management Accountant

Berry Recruitment are pleased to be working with a respected client to help them find a Management Accountant for a temporary to permanent position based in Cardiff.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to step in Finance Business Partnering and project work. The title of Management Accountant only reflects an aspect of the role with the rest being involved with one of the biggest infrastructure projects in South Wales.

The permanent role is near enough guaranteed for the right candidate as they are actively looking for candidates who aren't solely looking at temporary roles.

Summary:

• Contract: Temp/Temp-Perm
• Duration: 3+ months

• Role: Management Accountant (Project Accountant/Finance Business Partner)
• Rate: £35-45k Perm.
• Temp: £219.93 daily(Umbrella), £173.08 daily (Basic paye)
• Format: Hybrid (2-3 days on site - flexible.) - Taff's Well/Cardiff once a quarter to Bristol/Birmingham
• Start: ASAP
• System: SAP - experience desired.

There are lots of Excel models so Advanced Excel experience is needed (Vlookup, pivots, etc)

The company

Your new company will be an engineering firm located in Cardiff who are looking for an interim candidate who can support them with management accounts and their projects. They are looking to transition this role to a permanent contract.

As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
• Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records
• Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
• Supervising the internal accounting team
• Performing audits of departments within the organisation
• Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll
• Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed

Your experience should include, but not be limited to:

• Qualified or QBE accountant
• Experienced in management accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in utilising financial systems and tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP would be helpful.

After 8 weeks Amey can onboard the candidate as a permanent employee, without a fee. Initially they would like a temp. To manage candidate expectations the perm salary will be £35,000- £45,000 per annum.
