An overview of the role:

Part of our Intelligent Industry capability, our Intelligent Process & Performance (IPP) consultants are at the forefront of digital process and operations transformation. You will have the opportunity to work across sector, whilst having the scope to shape your career towards a specific capability set or sector as you develop within our organisation.

You will be working alongside some of the industry’s leading process experts, with a wealth of experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Process Design & Transformation, Process Mining, and Intelligent Automation technologies. Delivering through a range of different methodologies such as Agile Scrum and SAFe.

As a Consultant within the Process Transformation squad, you will be expected to support client projects by leading a stream of work, producing high quality deliverables, and driving your learning and development in line with the squad learning journey. A hunger to deliver for our clients and a desire to support the development of market leading offerings, underpinned by unique accelerators and tooling are key aspects of the role.

As a Senior Consultant you will be expected to design and lead projects or multiple streams, as well as taking ownership for elements of our propositions to drive our strategic direction.

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will have the chance to work across a variety of sectors and with a variety of clients. IPP is a growing expertise and building capabilities to tackle the biggest questions in:

Automation – With rising costs, cutbacks and specific industries shrinking, automation is a capability that wears many hats, but its mantra is about the now! Enablement of early value, unlocking capacity and insight to further refine transformation goals in wider strategic initiatives.

Process Intelligence – Delivering scalable, real world operational improvements through a data centric approach which leverages the power of Process Mining, Task Mining and Analytics.

Process Excellence – Leveraging process and delivery excellence, in combination with broader capabilities supports our clients in their transformation journeys. Whether it be creating new business models, optimising business performance or driving the sustainability agenda, we will work with business executives to achieve business objectives and strategies.

Typical roles our consultants will undertake include:

CoE Lead, Engagement Lead, Process Transformation Consultant, Automation Consultant, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Process Mining Analyst, Innovation Lead, Process Analyst

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We’d love to meet someone with:

Experience in some, if not all, of the three areas outlined above. We are looking for applicants with the following attributes:

Professional attributes:

Required –

  • Management Consulting experience delivering (Consultant) or leading workstreams (Senior Consultant) on process transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding and client project experience of using process optimisation tools, techniques and approaches and their application, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, OpEx etc.
  • Strong understanding and experience of using SAP Signavio or similar Business Process Modelling platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) with the ability to model Business Processes and identify improvements.
  • Exposure to / experience of generating assets and content to support our knowledge base and help with the development of colleagues.
  • Process transformation experience within SAP Transformation projects.
  • Analysing and presenting complex processes and data in a logical, structured, and compelling manner
  • Managing (senior consultant) and/or delivering (consultant) in small to medium sized teams to deliver tangible positive outcomes.

Even better if -

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
  • Knowledge of, and process transformation experience in, major back-office process areas such as Finance.
  • Experience with shaping new process transformation market offerings aligned to market demands.
  • A strong awareness and/or experience in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Process Mining
  • Understanding and/or experience of Business Analysis techniques
  • Experience of delivering in an Agile / Scaled Agile environment
  • Basic Process Mining experience (e.g. using tools such as Celonis, UiPath, Minit, PAFnow)
  • Experience with enterprise systems e.g. SAP and Oracle
  • Basic experience of data workflow tools such as Alteryx, Knime, PowerQuery

  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to listen to understand the client situation and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently on potentially complex issues
  • You will have a track record of successful delivery within projects or programmes working alongside other parties.
  • You will have an interest in questioning how we can make our client’s businesses better and challenge where technology can drive the change.
