Management/Cost Accountant

Based: Fife (Hybrid 2 Days On-site)

Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division are supporting our client, a global manufacturing company based in the Fife area, we are looking to recruit a Management/Cost Accountant to join their established finance team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities include

• Work closely with Business Leaders to understand financial data and provide recommendations in order to support commercial business decisions.
• Manage inventory close process including valuation, reserves, and excess and obsolete review.
• Act as financial check on inventory levels versus plan and collaborates to ensure the inventory is financially justified.
• Maintenance of standard costing system.
• Calculation of margin by product group and customers etc.
• Control and definition of the costing system for Europe, including calculation of burden rates.
• Provide weekly reporting including waste and purchase price variance.
• Conduct data collation, analysis and reporting on ad-hoc projects as required.
• Annually, oversee the Inventory system Audit.

Experience Required

• Qualified ACCA, CIMA, Part Qualified or QBE will be considered.
• Previous management &/or cost accounting experience.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain sector.
• Strong communication skills, able to present to non-financial staff and Stakeholders and build strong internal relationships.
• Exceptional data analysis and reporting skills.
• Advanced MS Excel and ideally ERP system experience.
