The Commercial Finance Manager would be a business partner to the Commercial Head of Malaysia, Singapore and Pacific Islands Foods, managing financial planning across these markets. The role also involves stakeholder and performance management liaising with our distributors in the countries, as well as the broader Asia Beverages & GMD Business Unit.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Lead performance management, including AOP planning / delivery and monthly business forecast
- Support strategic execution as the Philippines business undergoes the next phase of growth and transformation
- Partner with key stakeholders in Commercial, Marketing and Supply Chain to drive business performance, providing critical financial analytics and ensuring alignment around financial implications across decision points
Accountabilities:
- Partner with business to drive overall performance, building high quality plans and outlooks, analyzing actual performance and actioning against opportunities and risk mitigants
- Influence Commercial Head & cross-functions to ensure execution of plans in accordance with AOP
- Lead monthly management reporting & analysis, P&L and cash flow forecasting for MU/BU reporting, providing insights around key historical and forecasted P&L drivers
- Provide key financial analytics to support strategic business transformation and introduction of new brands/SKUs/launches
- Be a consultant to Commercial team regarding promotions, marketing budget/ROI, and distributor’s profitability
- Support distributor contract negotiations and supplier agreement reviews
- Bachelor’s Degree; robust technical/functional knowledge in Finance and Accounting
- Relevant work experience in Finance / Commercial Planning, preferably FMCG exposure. 2-3 years in Finance Manager position with total experiences at 8 years+
- Experience in budget / forecast process and variance analysis
- Exposure to trade and marketing spend analytics, as well as channel and brand P&L performance analysis
- Strong analytical skills; highly capable in Microsoft Excel and PPT
- Fluency with written and spoken English
- Exceptional ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines
- Strong communication and people skills; ability to think strategically and influence management
