The Role & Responsibilities
- Manage & maintain the web analytics implementation across our websites
- Provide insights into online customer behaviour through analysis of end-to-end customer journeys (performance marketing through to sale), including the attribution model
- Work with internal stakeholders & 3rd parties to combine internal & external data sources, and provide a single customer view
- Own and develop campaign tagging & tracking to ensure all marketing can be accurately measured through both online & offline conversion
- Work with relevant teams to drive volume growth and efficiencies by proactively identifying trends and insights to help drive conversion improvement
- Responsibility for implementing A/B, multivariate & personalisation testing, and reporting of results, including statistical significance (where applicable)
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and deeper dives into areas of opportunity, including performance marketing & new digital change initiatives
- Devise, develop and maintain reports, dashboards, presentations & data visualisation (including automation where possible), with appropriate story-telling and insightful interpretation of trends
- Tracking various events and activities that impact the data we see, that informs the storytelling
- Ensuring a robust approach to data integrity, privacy & compliance
The Person
- Experience in a Digital Analyst role in a fast-paced environment, leading data-driven marketing projects and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills - evidence of successful delivery of data-driven web analysis and recommendations to drive forward digital performance
- Ability to derive insights from complex data sets and deliver recommendations in a simple and comprehensive way
- Prior experience working with a wide range of data to build descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics
- Working knowledge of CMS, CRM, Analytics platforms & tools, e.g. Umbraco, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Piwik, Salesforce, Contentsquare, etc
- Strong data visualisation skills/excellent knowledge of BI & reporting tools, e.g. Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau
- Previous experience with A/B, multivariate & personalisation testing and associated tools, e.g. Optimizely, Google Optimise, uMarketing - including reporting on statistical significance
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders (including website delivery teams) and on multiple projects across the business and communicating & synthesising information in a simple form
- Knowledge & understanding of regulated industries - Financial Services preferred
- Ability to continually improve ways of working and constantly challenge the ‘Status Quo’
- Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and a commercial mindset
