Role
Forbes Solicitors has a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate to undertake a placement as a part of their sandwich year, for a period of 12 Months, as a Marketing Assistant in our Marketing & Business Development Department at our Walton Summit office. The role is a full-time role, working 36.25 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to gain experience within a busy and varied marketing department and further enhance their skills and knowledge during their studies.
This role is set to commence in the Summer of 2024.
The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:
- Assistance and attendance at large events such seminars and conferences;
- Assistance with setting up online webinars;
- Organisation and attendance at small events such as Expos & shows;
- Design of social media graphics;
- Video editing and working with the team to create content;
- Preparation of presentations and handouts for presentations and seminars;
- Amending and updating the intranet and website, profiles, photos, events;
- Production and distribution of e-alerts and newsletters;
- Adding new contacts and updating the Marketing Database;
- Sourcing and ordering of giveaways and other stock;

We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on applications demonstrating the following knowledge, experience, and skills:
- have 3 A-Levels, or equivalent, grades A* - C;
- ideally be studying towards a Marketing or Business degree,, with a placement year, (or an equivalent qualification);
- have a passion for Marketing;
- have good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties;
- have proven competence in their IT skills (Outlook, Word, and other systems experience);
- have the ability to work as part of a team;
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
- have an interest in long term development/progression in the department;
Ideally the successful candidate will have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel will be required to attend and set up firmwide events on a regular basis (*If you have a disability that prevents you from driving, please specify so we can assess what reasonable adjustments can be made.)
