About the Client:
Our client is an African NGO in the healthcare sector with global offices, now seeking a Marketing Director. The role's objective is to help drive sustainable growth for the organisation, allowing it to continue it's critical work across the continent. This role requires someone highly commercial and resilient to carve out a marketing strategy and be accountable for its execution in a standalone role, who is also driven by passion for the cause as making a difference to millions of lives.

About the Marketing Director role:

This is a newly created role with a range of responsibilities including:

• Formulate a marketing strategy and roadmap to achieve this
• New donor acquisition and donor retention and optimisation
• Brand positioning for international audiences through creative campaigns and telling stories, working closely with the Communications team
• Omni-channel strategy and digital advertising on a global and local level
• Market research into segments and defining value proposition
• Innovate ways to reach target partnership groups
• Conceptualise and create fundraising marketing products
• Identify connections and markets to further the organisation's presence.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working in an in-house marketing role with demonstratable experience being 'hands on' operational as well as strategic
• Commercial growth mindset
• Experience working in a nuanced international environment with international audiences and partners
• Highly creative and lateral thinker
• Resilient when working in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
• Independent-worker while also able to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior representatives and build effective relationships.
