Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the electro-mechanical industry, is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team.
Job Purpose
Working within a small cross-functional team, the Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for carrying out production processes associated with the assembly and testing of advanced electrical machines for e-Turbo applications. This role primarily involves operating machines and equipment for production and testing, as well as carrying out other necessary operations from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling electro-mechanical machine components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Modification of components and sub-assemblies.
- Testing and inspection of electro-mechanical machine assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Cable & harness assembly.
- Machine set up and operation.
- Initial investigation into machine and equipment malfunctions and making repairs and adjustments as required.
- General housekeeping and improvement of production areas.
Skills & Competencies
- Machine operation (training will be given as necessary).
- Mechanical fitting.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and other technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- IT literate (competent with Microsoft Office applications).
- Demonstrates a high level of care and attention to detail.
- Takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.
- Physically fit due to some heavy lifting
- Is highly organised and manages time effectively to ensure tasks and objectives are met.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and is personally committed to achieving objectives.
- Provides suggestions and ideas to operational problems and constraints.
- Is receptive to feedback about own behaviour, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Takes initiative, persists at tasks, and pursues completion of objectives.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.

Education/Experience
Level 3 diploma in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in an electro-mechanical electric machine assembly environment.
