Purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer role:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their friendly and bubbly team at an exciting time for the business to give Innovative design solution generation for new product introductions, service fixes, and product improvements.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer:
. Ownership and delivery of projects
. Take System, Structural, and functional requirements from the product team specification and deliver the required detailed solution.
. Ensure the product, and system design, meets all Legislation, Customer Requirements, and system Cost Targets.
. Design detailing, Accurate BOM compilation, and drawing release.
. Prototype build support and testing.
. Coordinating with other parts of the engineering team as required.
. Failure investigation and analysis, including introduction of containment and countermeasures.
. Identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities.

Experience/knowledge requirements for a Mechanical Design Engineer:
. Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
. Possess effective communication skills, oral and written.
. 3D CAD system operation experience.
. A sound grasp of engineering principles.
. Enthusiastic, self-starting, and Proactive.
. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
