Mechanical Design Engineer

Bela Recruitment is hiring aMechanical Design Engineer, based in the Dungannon area, Co.Tyrone Northern Ireland.

The Company

This is a new position for the company due to growth and the need to add another skilled engineer to support the wider team.

Responsibilities
· As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work with 2 others to ensure the effective creation of designs, project planning, analysing & improving mechanical systems and components and support for workshop staff on technical issues daily.
· Using SolidWorks create product and installation drawings.
· Prepare 2D Layout drawings using AutoCAD.
· Prepare Bills of Materials.
· Work with customers, management, and workshop, to plan projects.
· Specify, quote and order materials.
· Support R&D projects, product improvements and learn new technologies.
· Preparing CNC programs for Plasma and Tube Cutter.

Requirements
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
· Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks is preferred or a strong desire to learn.
· Familiarity with logic controllers and system design.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures.
· A team player with great communications skills and ability to support workshop staff.

Rewards
Salary £35000 - £45000 depending on experience.
