SalaryExcellent, outside IR35, contract available for a specialist business that supplies special purpose machinery worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their production team in Watford. The Company work with major brands across the globe and are continuously developing their products to meet the market demand.
You will be working as a Mechanical Fitter; building, setting up and testing the completed systems. The company design, manufacture, install and commission special purpose automated machinery.
You will need to have experience of Mechanical and electro-Mechanical assemblies, working from engineering drawings.
Mechanical Fitter Essential Requirements:
- An Engineering Apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment, or another relevant industry qualification (or extensive industry experience)
- Special purpose machinery building experience
- Experience of working from Engineering drawings
- Knowledge of using hand tools and machinery - own tool kit is essential Mechanical Fitter Beneficial Requirements:
- General mechanical hand fitting skills - Fitting bearings, Alignment of shafts etc
- Marking out, drilling and tapping
- Familiarity with building of sub-assemblies and incorporating these into complete machines
- Experience of ensuring assemblies are built to drawing and are aligned correctly
