AddressA Manufacturer of domestic goods in the Halifax area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a MECHANICAL bias to join the business. This role is working on a 6am/2pm - 2pm/10pm shift pattern.
This location is commutable by car from Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Brighouse & Huddersfield.
Requirements of the role:
- NVQ Level 3 a relevant Mechanical Qualification
- Sound working knowledge of all mechanical components (pumps, gearboxes, motors, belts, conveyors etc)
- Min. 2 years working in a Maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Working across the factory attending machinery breakdowns and diagnosing faults/route cause analysis, as well as ensuring all planned and routine maintenance activities are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
- Working with production responding to machinery breakdowns ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Building strong working relationships with other departments to achieve one common goal.
- You will be responsible for working through the planned maintenance schedule and carrying out any machinery upgrades.
- You will also be responsible for machinery installations/ moves and modifications of new and older machinery.
- Thinking outside of the box and being a really strong team player who can use own initiative and demonstrating good ethics and integrity.
