Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required. Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently representing one of the leaders in Pyrotechnic solutions who design, develop and produce smoke and flame machines, alongside a few other products as well. This company are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Peterborough and assist the chemist and operations manager to ensure the manufacturing runs smoothly and on time. The role is based in Peterborough, but the ideal candidate must be willing to travel to Morden, Surrey.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Position Overview

• Conceptualize, develop, and prototype machinery and tooling.
• Create 3D design models for new tooling or products.
• Assess the operational efficiency of on-site machinery and incoming equipment.
• Establish a proactive maintenance schedule for all tooling and equipment.
• Identify and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts to address potential equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborate with chemists and operations managers to support seamless and punctual manufacturing processes by upkeeping equipment and crafting fixtures as required

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Position Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in the management of hydraulic, pneumatic machinery, and automation/robotics.
• Conduct research and design tooling tailored to specific requirements.
• Exhibit self-initiative once trained in various on-site protocols.
• Possess a strong awareness of health and safety standards.
• Display flexibility and a willingness to assist in various capacities on site.
• Proficiency in utilizing software programs for machinery design, construction, and functionality, including Autodesk Moldflow, AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, and more.
• Role is based in Peterborough, but the candidate must be willing to travel to Morden, and maybe overseas if required by the client.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £30,000 - £40,000
• Pension Scheme
• 25 Days Holiday Inclusive of bank holidays
