Private Medical Receptionist

£25,000 - £28,000 per annum
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Meeting and greeting the clients
- Checking in all patients
- Making sure all patient details are correct, new and existing
- Giving out the appropriate forms
- Checking clients have not been kept waiting
- Calling clients who have not arrived after 10 mins
- Ensuring on demand patients are seen
- Make sure the reception area is always tidy and we have all the patient forms fully stocked
- Check stock cupboard twice a week and ordering

- Put together Assessment and Therapy packs
- Fill up business cards
- Receive repairs in from manufacturer and give to admin if it needs posting
- Taking payments
- Arranging appointments
Maintenance:
- Turn on the tv in the waiting room
- Unpack the dishwasher in the morning and then before you go home put it on
- Ensure the bathroom and kitchen are clean and tidy - check every hour
- Ensuring there are appropriate supplies (paper towels / toilet roll / dishwasher tablets / rinse aid and dishwasher salt, coffee capsules / milk / sugar/ drinking water)
- Make sure heaters or AC units are working in the waiting room
- Ensure all clinic rooms and admin bins are emptied at the end of each day
- Ensure we always have enough waste disposal bags (general waste and recycling)
- Prop main door open
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a busy medical practice, preferably private medical or healthcare.
- Strong background within a Front of House or administrative role
- Able to do shift hours
- Experience of formatting documents, preparing emails and letters
- Diary management and scheduling meetings
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Enthusiastic, proactive, organised, highly reliable and confident to work on own initiative
