?Salary £22,711 per annum increasing to £23,441 after completion of 6-month probation.

?The Service
REST is an acronym for Recover, Eat, Support, Talk. REST Hubs offer a safe space where individuals can feel confident and comfortable talking about their Mental Health needs. All REST Hubs are designed and laid out as a Psychological Information Environment while adopting a non-clinical approach. We strive to ensure we provide a person-centred support to service users whilst under our duty of care, providing a brief intervention, emotional support and service navigational assistance for people experiencing Mental Health difficulties.
?We work closely with various partners to ensure individuals in community have the support they need to thrive, grow, recover and excel. ?Two services are delivered through the REST Hub namely:
Day Time Service & Evening Sanctuary. The Evening Sanctuary focuses on supporting individuals who are in crisis using various de-escalation methods and techniques. The team work closely with other NHS and Blue light services to help reduce hospitalisation where not required. Staff are provided adequate training to ensure they have the skill and knowledge to deliver an excellent, safe service. The Evening Sanctuary runs from 6:00pm - 12 midnight (7 days a week).
?The Role and what were looking for
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Intensive Crisis Workers for our Evening Sanctuary who are passionate about providing excellent service, support and committed to continuously development. As an Intensive Crisis Worker, you will provide day-to-day support to clients who access the Evening Sanctuary Crisis Support Service. You will use your experience, skills and trained techniques to de-escalate crisis, provide reassurance, develop safety plan and put in place safety networks for individuals requiring support. Helping them through crisis but also to navigating their route to recovery. You will work closely with the Day Time Hub to ensure individuals supported during the Evening have access to the Day Team for long term, recovery and preventative support.
?Our Intensive Crisis Workers are empathetic, open, accommodating and caring. You will be based in the Aylsham REST Hub and work alongside 2 other Intensive Crisis Workers and Team Leaders. You will liaise with GP surgeries, NHS professionals, Councils and other statutory & non-statutory services to provide a holistic approach for individuals who seek crisis support. The role is best suited for individuals who perceive themselves as calm, problem solvers, flexible and quick to learn.
?A typical working day as an Intensive Crisis Worker in the Evening Sanctuary may involve, receiving handover from the day team after arriving at 6pm. Checking emails and phone calls for urgent/immediate on-night referrals and confirming appointments. You may also receive calls from Blue Light Services such as the police and Ambulance, carry out an initial assessment of suitability and accept or refuse referrals that are sent to the Evening Sanctuary. During appointments, you will actively listen, de-escalate situations, contact other external services (where applicable), develop safety plans and write detailed notes of each session. Where required you will support other team members & Team Leader in de-escalating difficult situations and offering guidance either through speaking with the on-call manager or using own experience/training. You will also ensure information/notes are recorded promptly on the system and that full handover is provided to the Day Hub staff when they arrive the following day.
?Among Other Responsibilities You Will Be:
?Support individuals, possibly presenting in crisis (presenting in a range of ways, including low mood, depressive symptoms, anxiety, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts) to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to navigate the crisis situation.
?Support colleagues to problem solve different situations
?Quickly establish appropriate, meaningful relationships with people referred to the REST Hub, supporting them to move out of immediate crisis.
